New Feature Added to the Upstate Women’s Show

GREENVILLE, SC – August 15, 2012 - The fifth annual Upstate Women’s Show held August 24th -26th at the TD Convention Center  in  Greenville is set for three days of entertainment, cooking, fashion, education, and inspiration for women of all ages. This year’s show offers hundreds of vendors and a wide variety of activities, demonstrations and special events.
 
New to the Upstate Women’s Show this year is Coffee Talk, a mentoring experience for women.  Presented by GE, Coffee Talk is a half-day workshop designed to connect aspiring and emerging leaders with mentors in an intimate café style environment. The program features speakers, round table discussions and networking opportunities. Coffee Talk is an ideal venue for women of all ages and backgrounds who are interested in developing or refreshing their leadership skills and building mentor relationships. Other show highlights include the BI-LO Cooking Stage where attendees can learn how to make awesome omelets, prepare healthy meals in a hurry, or watch local bakeries compete in the Best Upstate Cupcake Wars. For those feeling crafty, A.C. Moore’s “Make N Take” allow attendees to create their own “art” as a show souvenir. Ladies can find their “inner model” as One Heart Studio’s “Model in a Minute” photo shoot offers complimentary pictures.  Millie Lewis, Belk, and TALK are sponsoring fall fashion shows this year, “Unforgettable” for the women and “Irresistible” featuring men’s fashions.  Also at the Women’s Upstate Show is Corley’s Girls Night Out where experts will be on hand to teach the basics of maintaining toilets and answering plumbing, electrical and air conditioning questions. The Home Depot professionals will offer great tips on home improvement from decorating to energy efficiency.
