TATT Forum “Future Needs of our Growing Senior Population”

UPSTATE, SC - August 23, 2012 - Ten at the Top, an organization created to foster collaboration and partnerships across the Upstate, will focus the third Our Upstate Vision Forum of 2012 on “Future Needs of our Growing Senior Population.”
The forum, which is free and open to the public, is being held from 3-5 p.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2012 in the Marshall Parker Auditorium at the Tri-County Tech Pendleton Campus (7900 Highway 76, Pendleton, SC) with a networking reception immediately following.The forum will focus on the growing number of adults over the age of 65 living in the Upstate as the "Baby Boomers" move toward retirement, and what this new generation of seniors will need and expect.
Bill Igleheart, from Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina, will provide an overview of senior population projections for the Upstate in 2030, while John Miller, from AnMed Health, will discuss how the health needs of seniors have changed and continue to evolve. Jack Hansen, co-author of the book "Shaping A Life of Significance For Retirement," will give an overview of what seniors are looking for from their retirement years.
Hansen will also moderate a panel discussion on Life After Full-Time Work - Staying Active, Engaged and Involved.

The forum is the third of a series of four regional forums that Ten at the Top is hosting in 2012 at locations across the Upstate on issues related to various components of the Our Upstate Vision.
